Top 10 Entertainment Industry Internships

This week’s top ten entertainment industry internships reveals that 2012 is off to a good start, filled with a strong and diverse list of opportunities. The internship of the week is the Time Warner College Associates Program, which has openings in multiple different departments across the country. Other highlights include a chance for artists to join G4’s Creative Services team and an opening in ESPN’s Productions Operations department.

  1. MTV Networks Internship – Advertising Sales Team
    MTV Networks has openings throughout the spring, summer and fall for their advertising sales team, located in Chicago, IL. Interns will be assigned to one of MTV Networks’ 11 different cable networks, and will be responsible for helping to grow ad sales across the Midwest.
  2. Portland Timbers Internship – Photography Team
    Portland Timbers, a Major League Soccer Team based out of Portland, OR, currently has an opening for a photography intern. The selected intern will assist the team photographer with photo shoots of individual players, special events and game play.
  3. Sony Pictures Internship – International Production Team
    Sony Pictures’ international production team is seeking qualified interns who possess a strong interest in the international side of television. Interns will assist the production team with research and the development of creative presentations. In order to be considered for the position, applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  4. G4 Internship – Creative Services Team
    G4 is a 24/7 cable network and website dedicated to video games, technology and geek culture. Budding artists with a passion for the areas of G4’s main focus, who also have the ability to design aesthetically pleasing graphics and other animations, may be selected to join G4’s creative services team for the spring of 2012.
  5. Warner Bros. Entertainment Group Internship – Finance Team (Requisition #128561BR)
    Warner Bros. has just opened up their 2012 Time Warner College Associates Program (TWCAP). The TWCAP is a comprehensive internship which has multiple openings across the country for qualified applicants who are interested in gaining hands-on experience working within the movie or television industry as a part of the finance, marketing, creative or new media teams.
  6. 20th Century Fox Internship – Creative Advertising Team
    Domestic Theatrical Marketing is the advertising leg of 20th Century Fox, and is responsible for developing theatrical advertising campaigns, including the production of TV spots and movie trailers. Interns will assist in the production of an advertising campaign for all fall 2012 releases.
  7. SiriusXM Radio Internship – Music Programming Team
    SiriusXM is looking for an intern with an appreciation for bluegrass music to join their Nashville, TN, based programming team. Interns will be responsible for a wide range of duties, which will allow them to dive head first into the world of music programming.
  8. WGN Internship – Entertainment Team
    WGN, a news channel based out of Chicago, IL, is seeking an intern to assist with all aspects of their entertainment team. The successful intern will work directly with the entertainment producer and reporter, and will be integral in the development of entertainment related news stories.
  9. ESPN Internship – Production Operations Team
    ESPN has an opening for an intern to join their Production Operations team. A working knowledge of edit systems is preferred, as the intern will be performing editing operations and working with studio cameras.
  10. Clear Channel Internship – Marketing Team
    Clear Channel has internship opportunities available to individuals who are interested in learning about the world of radio marketing. The position is based out of their Manhattan office, and the selected intern will assist the marketing team in the development of marketing pieces.
